All I was doing was comparing the lady in the blue outfit (very fetching) in the link above to Caster Semenya ( a fine athlete).
I wonder if this post will survive.
I was going to comment on that post saying I cant see anything in that photo but the lovely lady in the white dress. :-)I wonder if this post will survive.

The helicopter attack on Piz Gloria is one of the greatest action sequences in cinema
Everything about it is just perfection. Even the one-liner humour is handled brilliantly and not restricted to the main characters.Yuri Borienko/Grunther deadpan response to one of his own men trying to ski-jump over a ridge and landing in a tree ("Idiot!") cracks me up every time.
I like the bit when the scientist throws the acid jar at bond and it hits the glass and melts it. Bonds face as he looks it at and turns his nose up.
The Piz Gloria assault scene/s are as stated, perfection, I love the slow build up to "over and out" whilst Dianna Rigg distracts Savalas.
Savalas is excellent at Blofeld, Donald pleasence is iconic of course but Savalas made it his own in OHMSS.
During a road trip a few years ago I deliberately stopped off at Grindelwald for nostalgia purposes but was skint so couldn't afford the cable car costs up to Piz Gloria, will try again sometime!

It's my absolute favourite bond film and I absolutely love the ski chase scene including the subsequent hunt for bond in Grindelwald, bond appears genuinely scared and unsure what to do at that point.

In this You Tube video the guy has altered the audio I believe. It is the most complete version of the attack on Piz Gloria I can find The Piz Gloria assault scene/s are as stated, perfection, I love the slow build up to "over and out" whilst Dianna Rigg distracts Savalas.

The scene at 0.27 when the 3 helicopters start to converge and the scene at 1.34 where the helicopter comes over the ridge whipping up loose snow are to me simply stunning
I remember seeing this at the cinema on a double Bill - possibly with Live and Let Die (not sure) and being transfixed by it
And to a great extent it all looks real. They seem to be real helicopters not the model ones from You Only Live Twice or the badly shot ones at the climax of Diamonds Are Forever complete with terrible exploding effects
The whole attack scene is superb and magical cinema to me.

Noticed Charles Gray was in TSWLM last week. THat's be a good pub quiz question, name a male actor other than a Bond who can be heard in three different Bond films.
He's not listed on the cast.Ps. He has been in two Bond movies in different roles. George Baker has been in 3, in different roles.
name a male actor other than a Bond, Q or M who can be heard in three different Bond films.
more trivia:
Eric Pohlmann was the voice of Blofeld in FRWL and Thunderball
Nikki van Der Zyl can be heard in TEN Bond films, dubbing for various actresses
Coming up to the second anniversary of Roger Moores death (23 May 2017) which is why, I suspect, BBC2 are showing the following this weekend:
Sunday 19 May 2019
@ 14:20 - Roger Moore: Talking Pictures: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09jxc7y
A look back at the life and career of one of Britain's best-loved actors, Sir Roger Moore, who died in 2017, just months before his 90th birthday.
@ 15:05 - Escape to Athena: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00792bx
A group of Allied prisoners of war plan to escape while excavating an archaeological site on a German-occupied Greek island. But the motley crew cannot resist the idea of taking some Greek art treasures with them.
Also, this weekend:
Saturday 18 May 2019
ITV4 @ 12:25 - The Sea Wolves: https://www.radiotimes.com/film/f4qkcp/the-sea-wol...
A German spy is passing on information about the location of Allied ships in the neutral harbor of Goa, India, with catastrophic results. Unable to undertake a full military operation in the Portuguese stronghold, English intelligence brings out of retirement a crew of geriatric ex-soldiers, veterans from World War I, using their age as cover. These old soldiers are asked to take to the seas and pull off an unlikely undercover mission.
Sony Movie Channel @ 13:00 - Gold: https://www.tvguide.co.uk/m-detail/240845/5916493/...
A South African engineer exposes a conspiracy to raise the price of gold by flooding a mine. Action adventure based on Wilbur Smith's novel, starring Roger Moore and Susannah York.
A shame ITV, who hold the rights to broadcast the Bond films, didn't time the current run so A View to a Kill (which was Moores last outing in the role) was broadcast this or next weekend as opposed to last weekend - would have been quite fitting.

Either that's all they have in their archive or the person choosing couldn't come up with something better, it's a showcase for Elliott Gould and Stefanie Powers.@ 15:05 - Escape to Athena: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00792bx

If they had it they should have used North Sea Hijack.

Ps I did put "The Man Who Haunted Himself" then realised it's probably not really the right film to remember someone who's passed away.
That's the one I'd want to see, it showcased Moore's acting better than any other. I'd also want the Wild Geese. NSH has been on quite a bit in the last few years.

On the other hand, the tiger hunting scene is irredeemably terrible.
Si-it!worse than the pigeon double-take in Moonraker?

https://youtu.be/JAJiaLqMRFY
Don't forget the terrible Tarzan scream during what appears to be a very pointless and slow swing... It would take ten minutes just to climb that high in the trees...
And I'm trying to think wether the pigeon double take is beaten for cringe by the tramp dropping his bottle of alcohol in A view to a kill as bond does his fire rescue... Shortly followed by the scene where bond loudly confirms that he's a British secret agent in front of loads of people....

Strangely as a kid I didn't love OHMSS, I always preferred the Moore films and also the Dalton films but as I grew up I completely changed my opinion, OHMSS definitely the best for me possibly followed by From Russia with love then Thunderball.
