Anyone into trainers/sneakers? (Vol. 3)

I heard Nike had a Jordan 4 black canvas restock this morning.
Seems that unless you're part of a cook group or have no job other than to resell shoes you wouldn't be able to get a pair. Seems a bit counterproductive if NIke are trying to clamp down on the resale market.
It would be handy if they could produce more than what seems like 3 pairs in some sizes! I've all but given up on buying stuff on Sneakers now as no matter what I do I'm never successful yet there's half a dozen pairs on ebay within 20 minutes, always from the same sellers. I begrudge paying £180 for trainers but I'm buggered if I'm shelling out £300 to line the pockets of a reseller. I like my trainers, but not that much!Seems that unless you're part of a cook group or have no job other than to resell shoes you wouldn't be able to get a pair. Slight diversion but we’ve discussed jackets before. Any recommendations for a warm winter coat that manages to not be mega bulky and also a bit retro?
I’m going skiing at Xmas and then to Vienna, expecting it to be cold which for a desert dweller ain’t no good. The t shirt in zero degrees Yorkshire part of me is long gone, I shiver wayyy before single digits!
I have a belstaff wax biker jacket with the padded gillet that I’m hoping will be fine for shorter spells outdoors, but need something properly warm. Doesn’t have to be suitable for actual skiing as I’ll prob rent some gear for that.
Some nice stuff in Oi pollois sale but doesn’t look that warm tbh. Or is a down/puffer inner and a wind proof outer jacket a better bet?
I’d love a parka btw if you can still get those ones with the orange liner we all wore in the 80s. Canada goose and technical gear aren’t my cup of tea.

Might not be what you’re after but snowboarding jacket with retro colours:I’m going skiing at Xmas and then to Vienna, expecting it to be cold which for a desert dweller ain’t no good. The t shirt in zero degrees Yorkshire part of me is long gone, I shiver wayyy before single digits!

Those Bern look smashing on the Size? website, hopefully they're as good in real life!
Going by the photos they've got the 'Odenwald Sohle' sole unit, which is one of the really old-school adidas soles for extra points. This is a good reason to keep buying - like tyres, there's always another tread pattern which might be better.
I like how much you know about adidas!

Reto aesthetic and proper technical performance?
Have a look at Cotopaxi down jackets.
one of those would be ideal but seemingly sold out.Have a look at Cotopaxi down jackets.
went out into the sales to find one, came back with a fred perry parka and some adidas cycling shoes. oops. i think the parka is a winner though if i can get a thin super warm down jacket under it.

Totally agree, I love it when Levin nerds out - and I'm not even a huge Adidas fan.

Getting all misty eyed here boys, honoured to be deemed a valuable contributor of adidas nerdery, especially when you both have better collections than I do! Ironically enough the last pair of adidas I bought were the JD-exclusive green Handball Spezial about six months ago. Since then I bought a pair of Puma Suede (which I'm wearing) and - just today in fact - a pair of Nike Killshots in a sort of off-white and navy colour. There's another hugely knowledgeable poster who's name currently escapes me

It's all very odd, Lost and Founds the other week and now these two. I thought I might have soured the milk with Nike recently as I returned the Jordan 3 Safari elephants or whatever they were called and a pair of shorts!Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
