What's he said? I don't have twitter.
I only saw because I follow Grace. He tweeted a pic of the new Iron-Man from the comic, which is a black girl. Grace made a guess that in the MCU it'll be SHuri, as she is the only one who can actually do what Tony did...probably Black Panther too, but he has a gimmick.Halb said:

If they'd have gone the route of the comics, replacing Cap and Iron Man with women, I'd agree (slightly). As it is, Falcon taking over as Cap, and Iron Man will be the kid from IM3 standing incongruously at the funeral.
RDJ has tweeted about a possible replacement today....ETA his official account hasn't tweeted for days?

Why else suddenly cast an adult actor for a minor character not seen for many films and place him very prominently in a scene that's very much the "changing of the guard"?
That's my bet.

The public just aren't ready for strong female characters I think.
Wonder Woman ($821m) and Captain Marvel ($1.12b and still going strong) disagree. Same with a black lead (Black Panther, $1.34b). Crazy Rich Asians was initially given a very low ceiling due to its all Asian cast but managed $238m.Many people (all of all genders) have rightly been complaining for years that Black Widow has been overlooked for a standalone film, and Valkyrie was immediately added to that list after Ragnarok. Shuri has also been a fan favourite Iron Man replacement since Black Panther, and in my opinion perfectly suited.

Has he? Nothing I can see on there...
oh s
t, sorry, it's from three years ago.:

Cheers H for giving me a chuckle.
The comic character progression is what I was originally referring to.
Instead, Cap has gone to Falcon. As said, I don't think the next iron man will be Shuri.

One was disaffected mate of Daddy.
Two was Whippy dude at NASCAR.
Three was Mandarin and burny dude.
One thing I didn't pick up on properly - was Paul Bettany playing Old Man Stark's chauffeur? Seem to recall he was referred to as "Jarvis" as he was chatting to Tony...

But i believe it was the same actor from the Agent Carter series?
Just back from 2nd viewing. That was a much more conventional cinema visit. Unfortunately. About 25 people, occasional lights from phones, chatting, 3 yo asking “what’s that” every 2 minutes.
First viewing was one of the best cinema experiences I’ve had. Now that I’ve watched the film in a more ‘normal’ atmosphere, I would rate it as top 5 MCU, but not the best. It’s not quite as good as Infinity War, Civil War or Winter Soldier.
But I still think it’s very very good, and I wouldn’t cut a single minute from it. Not even Hawkeye fighting Yakuza.
Now that plot details are being openly discussed here, I will comment on something. Banner promised the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) that they would return the stones to the correct moment in time, but he never said they would put them back where they found them. So that means Cap didn’t have to inject Natalie Portman against her will. He could have just left it in the vaults of Asguard, and let the timeline sort itself out from there.
(I’m still not sure how the Soul Stone scenario would play out. “Please Mr Skull, can we have our Widow back?”)

the cool thing about Jarvis too is that it's the only tv character to make the jump to the MCU, until that point it was all one way traffic. Marvel TV isn't run by Feig

I think the soul stone has a no refunds policy.SpudLink said:

I think the Russos are reported as having said that as the Red Skull was the keeper/protector of the soul stone, once it has been “won”, he’s free to go do whatever he wants to somewhere else. So no awkies reunions. Halb said:

Ah, so it was a cool subtle cameo - I just haven't seen any of the Marvel TV stuff. SpudLink said:
