Watched it the other night. Target audience seemed to be post pub under 30 video gamers - OK for the first 10 minutes, but I got bored after that.

Would not recommend (but then I am an old and grumpy git)

I really enjoyed this, thought it was well produced and visually impressive. It was also an interesting scenario to be presented with although I think they could have played on it a bit more in the script.

I watched it again last weekend and enjoyed it more than the first time.

It's in-your-face and lacking in depth, but it is unique and some of the stunt choreography is outstanding. There are many scenes where I was thinking "How on earth did they do that!"

I enjoyed it as well. Nice to see a space programme that doesn't descend into zombies, aliens or gore. Wish we had seen it in 3d now.


Was that really Laurence Fishburne? Wow, big chap!

I thought it was OK. Like you say it was nice that it didn't turn into an Alien fest and was more of a human story. My gripe with it was that it was a bit more of a chick flick than I was expecting. My other half really enjoyed it and she hates sci-fi and space movies.

I watched 'Arrival' last night with Amy Adams and Jez Renner.
Can't say why but I also enjoyed that. Another 7.5 - 8.

Watched it on a tablet whilst lying on a bed. Thought I had food poisoning and was in position at the porcelain god before realising what it was...

Just finished watching Greasy Strangler, gets a lol. Originally had the U/Intouchables to watch but 15 seconds in we realised we'd already seen it.

GS is bonkers.

Saw a great Italian movie called Perfect Strangers (almost certain to get a Hollywood remake the plot was so good).

A bunch of friends talk over dinner about how their lives are on their mobile phones. They agree (some reluctantly) to share with the table anything that comes across their phones during the course of the evening. Of course a train wreck follows....

My step daughter recommended me a film which she said was 'Amazing'. I couldn't rent it from Amazon, not on Sky and Netflix, so I decided to buy it.

Snowpiecer (2013)

'Set in a future where a failed climate-change experiment kills all life on the planet except for a lucky few who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, where a class system emerges.'

It was strange, but very watchable. One thing (amongst many) that didn't add up was the fat lady. After 17 years of living off a single jelly-like 'Protein Block', made from insects each day, how the hell did she keep her rotundness!
