Pine Gap

A bit like 24 but more factual or realistic and less Hollywood. Quite good.

Yes, the first series was very good, the second is nowhere near as good.

Have started Pine Gap, on episode 2 at the moment. It's okay so far but not great.

The Game.

Brilliant movie, one of my all time favourite films, with a great twist.
Which one? (There are several). Ta.

The Michael Douglas one?

It was a great movie, not seen it in quite a few years so don't know how well it will have aged.

Just started The Sinner.
Very good indeed. Season 2 (only halfway through) is just as good and possibly even better.
Really? I havent bothered as Biel wasnt in it.

Maybe I should. Really liked the first season.
Really enjoyed the sinner, echo other comments in that S1 was definitely better than S2 but still good nonetheless.

It doesn't get great so it's as good as it's gonna get.

We're 4 episodes in, it's OK but pretty hard to follow and quite slow paced. I can't decide if I like it or not but we're sticking with it, so make of that what you will.
I'm halfway through episode 2. I do find it kind of intriguing though, the alternative cold war timeline thing. I like the aesthetic as well, especially about 3/4 of the way into Episode 1 when the cold war totalitarian visuals suddenly get a jolt of cyberpunk to them when he's going through the city. I'll keep pressing on with it.
Finished this (1983) last night. It was OK, but not the greatest thing we've seen recently. Liked the premise more than the execution.

Finished Norsemen. S2 better than S1 but i'm just not sure i get that sort of humour. Was watchable.

Maybe this is more a reflection of my sense of humour...

A Million Ways To Die In The West.

Bloody superb. Loved every minute even though i've seen it before...

Just watched Netflix take on the jungle book. It's very well done, and pretty dark in places for a "family" film.
A solid 7/10

Ash vs Evil Dead.

They've only got the first of the three seasons but it's worth a watch. A proper TV followup to Evil Dead 2 / Army of Darkness involving the right people and done the right way.
Great recommendation. Enjoying it a lot.

"Don't watch this", a set of 5 short (5 minutes each) horror films.
So-so overall, the title is a recommendation too smile
Generally just standard horror tropes, but very gory, especially #3, that's just a collection of gross images. #4 is not a bad empty house/video explorer short,#5 is IMHO the best, 1 of the "Queer Eye" guys shows how he REALLY keeps looking good smile

I put it on one afternoon as I had nothing else to do, I really enjoyed it, particularly as it wasn't "fluffy" like the other recent offering by (I think) Disney.

Haven’t yet watched it. Just seemed unnecessary with the recent CGI heavy offering doing a good job as a family film.... odd to revisit so soon.

It has a completely different feel to it from the recent Disney one.

They were also made at the same time and the one on Netflix had a delayed release because of this. It was originally a WB picture but they sold it to Netflix after it was completed.

Angela's Christmas is a wonderful short animated film about Frank McCourt's mother as a child in 1914. Lovely children's story for Christmas.

The Tomb Raider movie from this year has been added today. I haven't seen it, it just seems a quick turnaround to get a 2018 film on Netflix.
