Vision being dead dead is a bit odd though, I thought they had a series with him and Wanda in the works?
Surely not a red herring?
If he IS going to be in it, I'd guess the get out is that Shuri almost finished scanning him to remove the mind stone at the end of Infinity War when Wakanda got attacked, so presumably he can be reconstituted - sans stone - from that data.Surely not a red herring?
Let's face it - if Bettany has committed to the series, it won't be hard to find a plot explanation to get around it....

. There was no need for fat Thor and I thought he became a parody of his character.
I thought he would ask to go into a time portal for 10 seconds, which would be a year for him to get into shape, then bound back to ac/dc while holding his hand out for Mjölnir. That would have been awesome. Also I thought the passing on of the shield to Falcon was a bit heavy handed.
The scene was clearly a reference to the kneeling for the flag movement as a protest against racial injustice: Sam first says 'it doesn't feel like mine' or something like that when handed the shield which itself is a symbol of the stars and stripes.
It is Disney stuff like this and the 'Girl Power' scene that feels like an attempt to manipulate the audience politically - I dunno maybe I am just too sensitive to this stuff now but if I am then it is Disney and mainly the Star Wars franchise that have made me so.

Is it wrong that I’m kind of heartbroken over RDJ iron man is probably my favourite movie of all and for this to happen and him not get his happy ending it leaves me sad! Big part of my life the last 11yrs watching the marvel movies!
Cap got his happy ever after
Did stark ever get brought back to life In the comics after beating Thanos??
Any way that he could be resurrected?
The MCU is a super amalgam of orignal marel universe and an updated less magicky marvel universe called utimates, Iron-Man helped with Thanos back in the 1991 story, but it was a bloke called Adam Warlock was was the final blow deliverer...he'll be introduced in the GotG3 film.Cap got his happy ever after

THe MCU, on one hand I like how it id giving definitive stories to characters...but on the other hand, I feel sad that certain characters will never interact....IM and Cap gone etc.
For the first time in the series, RDJ looked old to me, in the face, I mean, I can still see him as STark, but he looked ready to go.
I've been reading a few articles today, I'm gonna list them here (more for my own reference than anything), one thing picks up on the multiverse thing Marvel has got going on, original 616 Marvel universe and Ultimate universe are just two examples.
We now have a time jumped Gamorra. Also, in the series Agent Carter, she actually marries an unidentified man, which is now confirmed as Cap...pretty cool

6 hours later and my daughter is in her room crying because Ironman has gone. Thanks Marvel. You couldn't just let him retire could you.
Wouldn't have had the same impact, would it? Your daughter's reaction bears that out! I think End Game had to end with the death of a major character, otherwise it would have been a cop out. Tony’s sacrifice will be part of what cements the films legacy.
I also think RDJ probably insisted he got the death scene, to make sure MCU Volume 1 belonged to him, not Chris Evans.
Also wanted to comment on Vision.
My expectation was the film would bring back everyone killed by the ‘snap’, but not those killed in battle. However I did expect Vision to be back. I thought the work done to separate him from the stone would allow them to reactivate him, but Scarlet Witch would have to deal with the fact that he ‘came back wrong’. His intellect would be intact, but without any emotion.
They could still do this. Actually, a TV series would give plenty of scope to explore it in depth.

I think that's a bit oversensitive. I tend to switch the gender/race of characters when asking myself questions like this. If it had been Hawkeye (or any other white normo human) who had said it, I'd have linked the comment to the fact that it's CA's iconic weapon, that he feels incapable of upholding the same moral standards and that Captain can literally run rings around him. The ownership of the shield was also a hot topic at the end of Civil War.The scene was clearly a reference to the kneeling for the flag movement as a protest against racial injustice: Sam first says 'it doesn't feel like mine' or something like that when handed the shield which itself is a symbol of the stars and stripes.

Also (so far as I'm aware) racism has never existed in the MCU. I dont think even Samuel L Jackson has made a reference to race.

The "hey look, they're all women!" panning shot jarred, but if it hadn't been a panning shot it wouldn't have, and if it had panned and everyone in shot was male it would have seemed an odd shot choice, but most probably wouldn't twig that there were no women in shot. It did feel like a top-down request though.
I like the idea of vision being remade in a sequel, I didn't think the Spiderman hug had as much impact as I was expecting but I may have been tired.
Fat Thor was very funny. He definitely felt nerfed compared to the previous movie and while he suits comedy, I think they maybe slightly overplayed the gag- with the losses he's suffered in only two films, it feels odd that he's actually becoming less serious.

Yeah, I certainly didn't read that into the scene! It's more about the fact that Steve is Cap, that's the issue that everyone has ever had when offered the role, and there have been other Caps. Falcon and Cap have been through a lot together. Bucky and Falcon have a series coming up. I can see the Captain America mantle, changing perhaps, as Falcon accepts it.Also (so far as I'm aware) racism has never existed in the MCU. Steve Rogers wielding Mjolnir and the look on Thor's face when he summons it. Just incredible. I was always an IM guy - Tony Stark's transformation from self-interested billionaire arms dealer into making the ultimate sacrifice for humanity is near-perfect character development - but this really was Cap's series, he had the best arc.

It’s impressive that as well as being a fitting Avenges finale it is also effectively an Iron Man 4/Captain America 4 as pay offs to their own film journeys. Steve gets to have a life that he always missed out on. Tony finally gets to make the ultimate sacrifice and save everyone.
That final comment from Pepper...It’s okay, we’re safe, you can rest now...right in the feels.

I loved how he used it to whack his shield like a frisbee MiniMan64 said:
I’ve just realised I did have one question, I haven’t seen Captain Marvel so the start kind of confused me.
Does Carol met the Avengers at the end of her film? They all seem fairly familiar with her and the pager wasn’t mentioned anywhere
The CM wiki page is a little vague....
Post credits of Cap Marvel had them looking at the pager and then she appears behind them. Guessing she was then sent by them to get Tony. Pager was completely glossed over in Endgame.Does Carol met the Avengers at the end of her film? They all seem fairly familiar with her and the pager wasn’t mentioned anywhere

Well she delivers Stark and Nebula to the compound in Endgame, so I think we can assume she gets to know them a bit between scenes from that point on. Thor says 'I like this one', which implies he has only recently met her.
The end credit scene in Captain Marvel was a cute way of leading her into Endgame without spoiling how she actually arrives, so it could be pre her going to save Stark/Nebula or it could just be a fun reveal.
