If you can sell a Twitter post for NFTs, how about PH posts...?

How big will my stash of magic beans be?
A good point. I suspect my first post on PH all those years ago was probably 'It's a scam'. That'll be worth a lot of money to someone. winkbiggrin

The thing about all of this stuff is that it's so big that even the scummers and scammers end up believing their own schpeel. But underneath what is one of the filthiest rackets the human race has ever created is indeed the next steps forward. There's some really good stuff with some smart people and seeing how this evolves away from the phase 1 scummer & mug opening salvo.

The key is to not forget that there are no messiah's just very naughty boys and any field in life where you can see devotees and their suspension of reality and common sense is an area to be wary of, not dismiss but to ensure you remain above ground not becoming Eloi. All things in moderation. Everything is a poison when you take too much.

The choice was Morlock or Eloi. The only escape was to have a time machine...

Anyway, all my posts are available to purchase for a special offer launch price of just £1,000 each. Thread openers £5,000. Grab 'em while you can.

I think people need to stop giving something validity just because you can make money from it.
Blockchain questionable at best
Cryptocurrency in itself and by itself is futile.

Anyone saying otherwise is part of the pumper dumper craze

Here is a really good and simple explanation as to what NFT's are currently all about.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61102759

Like crypto, in general the value in the concept/product lies in how the legitimate and intelligent part of society find a use for it.

Personally, I think NFTs will be enormous. The potential is there for the penny share type of spank shop to take real money from the biggest and cheapest pool of mug punters who have no interest or understanding of legislation or risk. A billion fools all clambering to be parted from their wages every month.

Beyond that it has many potential legitimate uses and there are many directions it can go in once all the silliness of plonkers thinking the current phase of paying lots of money for worthless junk is some kind of logical future. biggrin
On the subject of plonkers paying lots of money for worthless junk, this NFT recently attracted a top bid of $97

Only a 99.9% loss laugh

Why do you think blockchain is questionable? It's use is already widespread.

Your asking this on a forum famed for its powerfully built director members with their £1.5million main residence, a BTL portfolio of £5million, often pulling the trigger on a sought after Rolex after a quick call from their AD. Essentially this isn’t the place that will ever embrace crypto.

I heard about a family that had a death recently,

Anyway they got quite a surprise as the guy who died had been playing with bit coin from early days.... turned out that he had accummulated a considerable profit indeed. so it is out there....

The were lucky to have discovered it. What if they'd just chucked his phone in recycling or given it to a charity shop?

Cryptocurrency and blockchain are different. He was questioning Chamon_Lee who, across more than just this thread, seems to be of the opinion that both are junk and anyone with the temerity to disagree with him is an imbecile.

Yes, there are some pointless BC projects out there but it’s arguably the most useful thing to come out of crypto.

Also, bear in mind that blockchain is not the only distributed ledger technology (DLT) out there.. some of the newer web3 companies have very interesting technologies that offer tremendous potential utility
