I reserved a 57cm Weber one touch premium yesterday at B&Q (diy.com) for collection in store, they call me 8am this morning to tell me they don't have any in stock. Idiots, that is no way to run a business.
It was £129 which is the best price I could find by miles. Anyone know of another good place to buy? Next cheapest I can find online is £150+
Got mine from B&Q today but a branch about 20mls away as the two local branches had sold out. Amazon are £145 I think. It was £129 which is the best price I could find by miles. Anyone know of another good place to buy? Next cheapest I can find online is £150+
Just received a "customer service" email reply from B&Q saying basically they know their website is cr4p, they don't care, and no the wouldn't honour the sale price another time.
Glad I've ordered my weber elsewhere now and I will be avoiding B&Q for all purchases in the future if possible!
All I need is the delivery to arrive tomorrow, this weather to hold and friday night lets cook!!

Second Weber (37cm smokey joe) ready to be built to use Friday...
once again half the bits are missing within the sealed box.
customer services are asking it be sent through as a warranty claim - how very useful when i need to use it (first 57cm arrived with parts missing and a damaged thermometer)
great products when theyre eventually complete!

Couple of questions re 57cm weber
1: Does a beer can chicken really fit under the lid on the normal height grill?
2: What the bloody hell is this bit? Not mentioned in the instructions and not pictured anywhere?
If you use the Weber beer can chicken holder which is supposed to fit in the 57cm, take it from me it doesnt, even using the smallest can we could find the meat still touched the lid. I bought a smoker too and now I dont have a problem. It does make the chicken moist and slightly flavoured but have not been too impressed. 1: Does a beer can chicken really fit under the lid on the normal height grill?

My weber has arrived and is now assembled ready for the weekend! Quick question on meat thermometers - do I want a digital one with a lead so it stays in the meat throughout cooking? Or is a simple one that I lift the lid and stick into the meat now and then sufficient?
Any specific meat thermometer recommendations would be great. cheers
