That is bonkers geometry....
It looks to me as though the shock's too long which has cocked things up.Re Conti GP4000Ss - I don't see what all the hype is about, I recently changed over from worn Michelin PR3s and can't tell any difference at all.
Fairly budget compared to most in this thread but here is my Cube Aim. I'm really impressed with it, it has been used really hard for a year and nothing has broken and I keep up with mates who have bikes worth four times as much. I'd like to get a new fork that handles lesslike a pogo stick and some discs when funds allow.

Gave my girls a bit of a wash and lube today

I was looking at one of these. Good to see your review on it.

Sorry mate but now you are talking total crap, its all in your mind, they may be slower tyres but you wont feel the resistance!I run BP4000's on my Cervelo and GP 4 seasons on my aluminium Scott and tbh cant feel anything different apart from the difference in the way the bikes ride... certainly cant feel any glue ROFL!
You also wouldnt get a 1mph increase just from changing tyres, if it was that easy everyone would be buying faster rolling tyres. There is so many different things that can make a ride faster or slower, wind speed, your energy levels, time of day, traffic, just too many variables.
Finally had a chance to finish putting the new arrival together (including bits from previous bikes)
My first bike built up from parts so well pleased with the result, even with the various daft errors I made initially. Rear mech cable is a bit eww but it works nicely so I'll live with it

My little project to keep me occupied over the next month or so.

I paid £30 which I'm happy enough with, certainly it was the most suitable bike within a 50 mile radius on eBay, Gumtree, Freecycle etc.
501 tubing
Shimano gearing
and TBH I've not a clue about the rest of the spec.
I suspect if it was new today it would be the equivalent of a £500 bike.
Plans are to have it resprayed, all parts thoroughly degreased and polished and made into a bit of a 'cafe racer'.
I should really start another thread...

Million mile Diamond Back Ascent EX that I've had forever.
Used and abused Paul Milnes Team Aluminium cyclocross bike, with a shortened wheelbase after a big off one day. Downtube is bent where the forks were pushed back, left rear seat stay is bent from having the cantilever boss broken off and it's had a re-paint. Still running most of the Shimano RX100 8 speed groupset it came with new, other than the odd puncture I have had no mechanical trouble with the bits on this one.

Did they really make that much difference??? heard so many rave reviews about GP4000s - what are they like for puncture protection?
Thanks
They're a lightweight race tyre, so will be more prone to punctures than, say, a GP 4 Season, Gatorskin etc. Sidewalls can be fragile: I've nailed two. Thanks
Grip well, but feel a little "dead" and don't roll a nicely as others on the market.
I'm sold on a pair now. I won't open that tin of worms of 23 or 25mm tyres though !!
Thanks
Edit to add - wiggle are doing these at £29.99 delivered in both 23 and 25mm. Not a bad deal that.
