Really? Justify that assertion.

Google "EU Common Agriculture Policy". Or take a quick look at
http://www.tuaeu.co.uk/how-the-eu-starves-africa/
With regards to the USA
http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2015/january...
On Cars
EU duty on imports
from the US is 10%
US duty on imports
from the EU is only
2.5%
So whereas the US wants EU cars, the EU tries to dissuade that.
Elsewhere from the Internet. EU tariffs on products from Nigeria
15% tariffs on live animals
•26% on meat and edible meat offal
•31% on dairy produce, birds’ eggs; natural honey; edible products of animal origin not elsewhere specified or included
•12% on edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers
•18% on products of the milling industry; malt; starches; inulin; wheat gluten
•23% on preparations of fish and meat, of fish or of crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates
•28% on sugars and sugar confectionery
•18% on preparations of vegetables, fruit, nuts or other parts of plants
•19% on tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes

So you voted to Remain and you don't even know what sort of organisation you want to shackle the UK to for the rest of time?

And the US do the same to the EU on light trucks - 25% on light trucks/vans compared to 10% on vehicles imported to the EU.

So the US try to dissuade the import and sale of EU made vehicles too.

The unemployment rate ticked down to a seasonally adjusted 3.8%, matching April 2000 as the lowest reading since 1969.
Certainly he's managed not to reverse the trend established over the previous 8 years.
Although the churlish might mention this
average monthly job growth:
—first 16 months of Trump presidency: 185K
—last 16 months of Obama presidency: 215K
But obviously I wouldn't

TBF, as the unemployment drops, the rate of job growth might well drop because it is that much harder to fill those positions. Certainly, filling skilled roles is increasingly hard for businesses so maybe they are using different methods to help improve capacity. Although the churlish might mention this

I'm aware that the closer you get to full employment the harder it will be to fill the last few jobs. Regardless of the comparative rates under Obama and Trump the stats clearly show that Trump has done absolutely nothing that could could be regarded as enhancing the situation he inherited, namely a steady downward trend in unemployment. But he hasn't totally f
ked it up either, yet. So, y'know, credit where it's due

I think you'd have to do something pretty extreme to shift a country into recession single handedly (even by Trump's standards!)But he hasn't totally f

The real test is gonna be a year or two down the road I reckon. Course by then, if it's another president, anyone pro-Trump can just blame them

Indeed. If you can peek behind the paywall this is an interesting article in WaPo about how his current policy appears to mirror the (eventually disastrous) mercantilism which prevailed a few hundred years ago.The real test is gonna be a year or two down the road I reckon. Course by then, if it's another president, anyone pro-Trump can just blame them
