So, I'd like to examine this "deal" with the two racist scumbags in a bit more detail......
At the moment, there is a huge factory that is minus a roof, therefore all the worst of the winter weather has got in, presumably flooding all the electrics etc.
Phelan offers to sort the roof out despite having no workforce, and a couple of six foot ladders and a few tatty hand tools in his yard.
Then, this initial order of 500 "units" of frilly knickers, (probably £1 each + vat) is going to save the livelihoods of around nine or ten members of staff who all have families to feed etc.
Errrr, OK.
Also, where has Carla got all the money from all of a sudden?, brand new Merc, offering to bail Robert out etc, when she left she was a washed out alcoholic as far as I can remember.
The Merc will be on PCP - aren't they all?At the moment, there is a huge factory that is minus a roof, therefore all the worst of the winter weather has got in, presumably flooding all the electrics etc.

Did you get a gander of the proposed order for these knix? It was only visible very briefly (pun intended) but it was in batches of £500/750/1000 and the total can't have been more than £10k. (I think this sum may have been mentioned by Aidan in a previous episode). Does this constitute the acme of orders in the world of scanties? Would anyone really rebuild a factory, re-employ a workforce and cough up for the materials on the basis of that? These writers are getting more and more deluded. although TBF they probably don't know about the pedants on this forum.
I also agree about Phelan's quote. This was available within 24 hours without the apparent need for Pat to check the price and amounts of materials, or indeed the availability of the stuff he needed. Presumably in Weatherfield a vague general total is all that's required.
Your roof has caved in, who do you get to do it? A con man that has ripped off half the street? Of course.
With the introduction of the new police station on the set we will hopefully see more police incidents. Im hoping so anyway as at the moment they only feature in it twice a week.
Craig and Bethany is bizarre.
Todd disappears with a child and nobody bothers to phone the police or social.
I though Daniel was investigating Phelan? Or is that forgotten about now?
What happened to the Jag that Adam stole, surely the police should have made an appearance for that.
Glad to see Simon isnt really in it now.

It's right down on their list of priorities atm.The Corrie cops are working overtime dealing with Seb's ladder fall, Brian's GBH case, The break in at The Bistro, and searching for the man who conned Leanne out of her life savings.
My daughter only knows a few basics about Corrie, although she's aware of my addiction. She was taken somewhat aback when she heard Carla and Roy declare their love for each other.
I had to do a little explaining about Hayley and the subsequent tryst between the odd couple about looking after each other. It's all really rather sweet, and not at all like most soap relationships. I hope Carla gets sorted, maybe by a donation from Roy - I don't think Roy Cropper could take more tragedy, even if it isn't his fault.
PS soap dancing is embarrassing.

Am I missing something or was there only one episode on both last night and Wednesday? Watched Wednesdays yesterday, and just gone on to the Sky planner to watch last nights and there's also only one? The 'missing' episodes aren't on catch up or ITV hub on the laptop either? Was there an hour on Christmas Eve? (Sunday)

You are correct. One hour episode Christmas Day, another one hour episode on Boxing Day, a 30-minute job on Wednesday and ditto on Friday. That's all.I suppose ITV wanted to get as many "other" programmes into the schedule as they could manage - festive stuff.

I can't believe that we are doing the kidney transplant storyline........ AGAIN.!
For those of that don't remember, Tracey Barlow received a kidney transplant from her mother Deidre's lover, Samir Rachid, when he was killed in 1995

That's what I remember. Surely they can't be 're-inventing' another donor plot? For those of that don't remember, Tracey Barlow received a kidney transplant from her mother Deidre's lover, Samir Rachid, when he was killed in 1995

Samir Rachid made "Wooden Will" look like Laurence Olivier. For those of that don't remember, Tracey Barlow received a kidney transplant from her mother Deidre's lover, Samir Rachid, when he was killed in 1995

Samir and Deidre were the most unlikely pairing since Alf and Audrey Roberts.
