I was dragged to the theatre in Wimbledon to see it many years ago, that was enough!

The only positive things of that evening were the drive there and back in my old XJS convertible and several gin and tonic‘s back home to get over the experience.

I watched drive on netflix. Also this free steam account with games guide is useful for a gamer. It's amazing.

Schools have broken up now. I hope Jane asked the bill-payer's permission.

Rise of Skywalker: Yes, tears were shed. All in all I thought a good end to the saga, at least from the Skywalker perspective. A bit rushed at the start but once it settled down it did a good job of tieing it all together.

I understand that. My point was that the live version at the theatre was awful so what would be the point of making a film version! Wild horses wouldn't drag me etc!

Tomb Raider (2001)
Currently on telly

American Angelina Jolie doing a passable English accent talking to Englishman Daniel Craig doing an American accent.

It is a damn good film, the pace and characters just works well. Some super mixing of soundtrack to scene too.

Mystery Men (1999)

Recorded off the SyFy channel recently.

I've seen it before, but it's interesting watching it post The Boys and post Watchmen.

The sets and backdrops are a lot more cartoony and styalised than I remember - hints of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
I also had forgotten how many weird camera angles there are, in a style that apes Terry Gilliam (with limited success).

Overall, not as good as I remember.

Edit: Although it does have the classic line "We've got a blind date with destiny, and it looks like she's ordered the lobster" hehe
