Buddy refuelling NZ style

Double Buddy Refuelling USAF style. I've no idea why they didn't just tank separately, if anyone can shed any light on the matter?

Now, here's a seriously cool image from Sunday's Cosford Airshow. I was on the BPAG stand showing people around XV490's cockpit, along with ex 'toom Navigators - now turned aviation authors - Dave Glehill and Caroline Paige.
When the Reds appeared all punters deserted our stand to watch, and I had a marvellous viewpoint from the top of the cockpit. Dave and Caroline grabbed their cameras and started composing all sorts of trick shots, and Dave managed to get this amazing picture of the diamond 9 barrel roll framed above 490. With the angle, you could be fooled into thinking she was still a complete aircraft! With me gazing longingly skywards, it's a picture that for me sums up everything we love about fast jets, displays, and aviation in general
