Later, it will be Le Mans (1971) followed by Grand Prix from 66.
Dug out some DVDs that were sitting in the boot of the car for years an Le Mans was one them.Rose-tinted glasses and all that, but I just couldn't get to the end of it.
O Lucky Man was another one, which was even weirder than I remember. Worth watching for Arthur Lowe and of course a gorgeous Helen Mirren.

The Gentlemen
Guy Ritchie does the idiosyncratic gangster charcterisations once again in a rehash of all the other genre derivative 'work' he's subjected us to.
Strictly for fans.
I was disappointed with it as well. Posh actors putting on working class accents and saying the 'C' word unconvincingly!Guy Ritchie does the idiosyncratic gangster charcterisations once again in a rehash of all the other genre derivative 'work' he's subjected us to.

What women want - Not my usual choice but it was the wife's turn to pick a film and she chose a rom com. Turned out to be quite enjoyable.
The Magnificent Seven (2016) - Modern remake with Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and others. Wasn't expecting anything brilliant but it was better than I hoped. 7/10

Margin Call was on TV last night.
I'd never heard of it but it grabbed me pretty quick and I sat through to the end. Great performances, good story, well told.

Watched The Big Short again yesterday. What a great film. I intend to watch Margin Call and Too Big To Fail today to complete the trilogy.
Margin Call is my pick of the bunch, but The Big Short is a close second.
Margin call better than The Big Short?! Not seen it but The Big Short is an amazing story. Mind blowing stuff. Margin Call is my pick of the bunch, but The Big Short is a close second.

Never seen margin call but Martin baker has been criminally under used in Hollywood.
Right from L.A confidential he had potential. Loved the zombie movie he did then he pretty much disappeared.
Simon Baker you mean? He didn't disappear, did a few films and seven seasons of The Mentalist. Right from L.A confidential he had potential. Loved the zombie movie he did then he pretty much disappeared.

Green Book - loved it, a bit predictable but a nice tale.
Rocketman - found it a bit too similar to Bohemian Rhapsody but still an enjoyable insight into rock and roll superstars back in the day.

But then I saw We Will Rock You a while back and thought that was a steaming turd of nothingness as well
Shame as I quite liked Queen

Its a decent film but not as good as the big short.Dirty money series on Netflix has some good episodes in this genre. The drugs company short selling one is very good.

Filmed in Supermarionation, 2014.
A documentary I seem to have previously missed, it must've aired somewhere? About Gerry Anderson et al, on Amazon Prime.
Pretty good for general interest, really good if you're a fan.
