Nice idea for a present here, an advent calendar you can drink.

If it's anything like last year's Brewdog one, I really wouldn't bother.https://beavertownbrewery.co.uk/products/beavertow...
The handful of beers I enjoyed were mostly available in my local supermarket. I think there was one (a limited edition) that I quite liked and couldn't get hold of again, and it introduced me to their low-cal IPA.
The remaining 15-or-so were, without fail, utterly dire.
If someone you love likes craft beer, just buy them a case of nice beer around the end of November.

My local beer shop does bespoke calendars so worth pursuing that if you have a local shop. The handful of beers I enjoyed were mostly available in my local supermarket. Bought the beer hawk advent calendar this year. Looks a good step up from Brewdog I had previously.
Norse star 3 this eve, Black forest imperial, it's lovely.. (available in Morrisons, sorry if that offends anyone)

The second version was a really good beer. The reports I've seen say this isn't so good. Norse star 3 this eve, Black forest imperial, it's lovely.. (available in Morrisons, sorry if that offends anyone)

It's maybe not the best craft brewery to support.

Why wouldn't you support them? I like their beer so will buy it. It's maybe not the best craft brewery to support.

A lot of people like to avoid breweries owned by the big companies. Many don't realise that Beavertown are partly Heineken owned.
Found out that Marks and Sparks had some new beer in so popped down there a short while ago.
'Their' pale ales were brewed by Vocation and Fourpure - and all were very nice.
Picked up a couple by BrewByNumbers and others too, walked out with 20 new beers.

A couple from the East London brewery were good too

Went to ASDA and Lidl too and got a haul of about 40 new beers !

Where have all the IPAs with a pine flavour gone? For some reason I'd really like one, and all the IPAs that seem to be en vogue at the moment lean more towards a tropical palate. I remembered liking Punk IPA a few years ago, even though I'm not a huge fan of BrewDog. Bought a can and either my palate has changed or it's an entirely different beer to what I remember.
