I can offer forward a possible experience of a polterghost.

A few years ago I was sat on the toilet when a strange atmosphere entered the room and the hairs on my arm stood up.

Without warning the toilet roll started unwinding of its own accord.
Now, I don't fear the unknown as a rule. I've experienced interesting things, but that would properly freak me out!

Good stuff. hehe

Did you have a sense of foreboding?

Yes! Then i broke out in a cold sweat. There seemed to be some noises that i honestly cant explain but i can only describe as "inhuman". Then the strange atmosphere. It was like the room was thick with something. Like an evil presence. Followed by a great sense of relief when i left the room. Like a pressure had been lifted.

I can only describe it as like a sharp blast of wind passed through me.

Sounds like you stopped just short of an out of body experience

For those doubting the presence of ghosts, there is scientific proof of it...

Ghosts(spirits) are, as we all know borne from our consciousness which explains why a ghost can manifest in the form it wishes. As consciousness has been proven to be able to be separated from the physical mechanisms of the brain (Penrose) clearly, the quantum matter is going somewhere.
As has been shown (Hawking) the universe is expanding, in terms of overall mass as well as size. This additional mass, initially unable to be measured by humans is "dark" matter(Zwikky?, Rubin, Ford). Clearly the mass/energy of the universe came from somewhere and will go back to somewhere, dark matter, from which our consciousness, formed of quantum matter will do also.

Therefore when we die, our consciousness returns to dark matter/energy.

How do you like that explanation science nerds :P

of course, I even had to reword it to get Hawking in there.

but it at least follows some logic, and is as testable as dark matter/energy, i.e. not very, and has not been disproven afaik

"There's no reason to believe in ghosts, because there's no evidence for ghosts"

That ^^^ follows some logic.

Anything on the 'pro-ghost' side of that statement involves at least a little, (and possibly a lot of) wishful bullst.

3/10, must try harder. You need to get harmonic vibrations, crystal energy, chakra points and preferably some form of homeopathy in there before it's even halfway convincing.

Isn't that how scientific research starts? A theory that you then set out to prove.

An assumption isn't a hypothesis.

And a Theory is what you have at the end, not the start. Assuming you don't fk it up.
