The 'motor trade' destroyed many of a 'young mans' dreams...
I lived close to the infamous 'Rolls Royce' place in Wandsworth.
You either went there or the railways back in 1973 lol...
I did neither, I went to Wimbledon to make parts for 'concrete vibrators'...
My love of Cars and Mopars had never waned and never will do.
All my motor trade BUDS are burnt out, drunks and in mental homes...
Be careful what you wish for...

I’m neither burnt out, mental ( debatable)
Depending on who you speak too,
Drunk , chemicals ,
Just bored working on them,
But at almost 66 a tad to late to consider a career change!
Doing a S4 V8 at the minute, horrible 3 stage pearl,
Currently looking like a pig with 3 ears,
Hopefully the clear will save the day !

I'm probably 'burnt out' - after semi 'inforced' retirement 18 months ago just can't invisage doing the same kind of work as I did for 45 years.......but it goes far further.......the people that were in management 'tree' immediately above.........after 18 months away I simple couldn't have the patience and tolerance to deal with them now.......I occasionally miss my colleagues and customers though. I've had a supply of Valvoline's finest and a new filter sitting in the garage ready for the Vettes annual oil change for a month or so...........just can't be motivated to get uunderneath the car and do the job.....(lazy b'stard!)Depending on who you speak too,

Know exactly where your coming from
I’m just tired now, still doing 9 hr days, but only work a 4 day week now,
So have zero energy left over when I’m home ,
Water the plants is about it!
I do wonder if I’ve just lost interest, a few years back when I joined the E Type place , I really enjoyed the first few months as we were getting the shop together,
Installing a huge Mezzanine floor, big looping stair case etc,
Was so nice not to be doing poxy cars,
But alas it was rather short lived,
and still up to my neck in pooh!
Lol…

My Lantac landed yesterday, fabulous bit of kit,
All billet upper and lower, trick trigger blah blah,
Looking for a Trijjicon now !
Check with Chris at C&G, he may have one?All billet upper and lower, trick trigger blah blah,

As much as I have little interest in that modern stuff, I was very impressed with my mate's Lantac when I've had a few goes with it.
Getting much the same as you guys, never seem to get round to doing things whether on the cars
or the house , it takes my much keener than me mate to come round and motorvate me,pless him.
This weather not helping matters either, Think even the boys are fed up going the beach this week,
found them hiding from me this morning when usually their in the car waiting.
Still no sign of T/B V5 and my Australian 430 buyer hasn't paid for the car yet after just over a week
although has payed CC their £4K plus commission which is taken out of his card as soon as the hammer falls
so should be ok unless he wants to lose his deposit but doesn't help me.

I do like 'em a little earlier......and not always 'verts, - nice alternative to Rolls of Bentley of the period and probably more hand made content too!

Forgotten jem, big money in the States but the only place here you may see one is R.O.G ,

went to a smallish meet last night. A mate was there in his 69 black Charger.
Parked the Hellcat next to it.
The Hellcat is not small but that Charger which I believe is a foot longer looked so much larger.
Forgot to take a picture
There was a Hellcat parked next to a Osca India Aston V8 in the pits at Goodwood Parked the Hellcat next to it.

the other day and it made the Aston which is large and bulky by any standards look like a MG Midget,
Surprised how well it hides its size when parked on it's own
A bit late now for page 428......but a blast from the past @£30K https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1466779
