Random Photos : Part 4
Discussion
This weekend with the sun out and some nice hard(ish) shadows for the first time this year it was an ideal opportunity to try a little street photography.

If you believe my girlfriends grandma then I’m actually a Russian spy as what I actually do seems like a made up job!
So to expand I primarily work as a photographer for a helicopter industry magazine and OEMS (freelance) whilst also covering some entry level racing and track day stuff here in the UK. But the flying is what I love!
Well it sounds like you're living the dream mate!
Question – do you find you still go out and take photos for fun, or for personal enjoyment? Or do you find that you doing it for a living is enough time behind the camera?

Haha this is the information I was after, I kind of gathered you'd be a professional photographer looking at your Flickr.

Hmmm good question.. When I was away on jobs I'd never make the effort of going out to take photos, instead I'd opt to go out and explore the cities and just take a GoPro along. But this year I've tried to get out and take some landscape photos as well, figured I get to see and visit some amazing places and just have phone snaps to remember them by. But when I'm home and not working it's rare I'll go out with the camera - not because I'm bored of it but just finding the time is hard.Well it sounds like you're living the dream mate!

I'm a graphic designer by trade, but do photography on the side as more of a hobby. Would love to find work in the field one day, as I'm much happiers being out and about behind the lens than I am sat at a desk all day. However I'm aware that my enjoyment of just going out and capturing images for the love of it may be compromised if I work towards making it a career.
Does sound like you have a bit of a dream job though. Congrats! I've followed you on Flickr so I'll look forward to keeping up to date with your work.

Interesting, thanks! Seems to be the trend when you speak to professional photographers.

Oh I love being out with the camera whether it's work or not. It's just finding the time to get out when it's not work, especially as recently I've been away for 2-4 weeks at a time - I'm quite into my fitness so when I'm back home I'd rather go to the gym than wonder around with the camera! I bought a Russian Fed-3 camera in January, used it once and I wasn't totally enamoured with the results it gave. Then last weekend I found a roll of Rollei Retro 400S film which I bought in December. I already used this film once, and when I developed it the whole film was stripped of images, which was weird! So I thought I'd try this film again, in the Fed-3 and see what would happen.
I took about 15 shots of random things, but this was the first one I took of my dog on Sunday. I was on the sofa and she was lying with me positioning herself to get the most of the sun we were getting. There are no filters on this photo, I adjusted the contrast a little bit but this is pretty much what came from the negative. I kinda like my Fed-3 now!

Some photos I took of our home, after we finished rebuilding/renovating it - these were for various estate agents, as we were going to rent it whilst going away for the winter. For some reason I have stored these in a low resolution, which I cannot seem to fix! Must find the originals in LR and rectify.
I would like to get better at architectural photos - these were on a wide angle lens and took some correcting for distortion etc. And I need to play around again with some of the colours, lighting. But still, thought I'd post them up anyway!
