That (brilliant) curry comes and goes. When it comes back I buy six and use them in combination with whisky when I'm feeling masochistic.
- oh really? thank you

nope both Lidl and Aldi produce rubbish crisps. Either Co-op or tesco get my thumbs up.And there Bacon Rashers (Frazels) were awesome... can't find them in the big bags now though

I know Aldi and Lidl have somewhat of an unfavourable reputation with certain people but my Gosh Waitrose is on another level…
I popped in last night at 7pm for some Cream of Tartar. Wondering what the intrigue was in aisle one with loiterers when the rest of the shop was fairly quiet… yellow stickers.
Utter carnage. The cost of living may be rising but they all appeared to have left their manners in the West Wing with the Housekeeper at the Hunting Lodge. I was Schoffel’d in my Burberry and Dubarry’d in my Le Chameau.
Do me a Fairfax and Favour and avoid!
Much more respectable clientele in Aldi and Lidl.
- slightly off topic I noticed a sign in the window of B&M offering Klarna payments. Actually felt a bit sick.

Not sure about my local Aldi, but while there is a discount area in my local Lidl there's never any alternate stickers on anything in it.
Worst I've seen was a few years back was at my local Tesco when the old fruit and veg was put out - actual fist fight - turned out, to make matters worse, both were found to be corner shop owners who would resell the discounted goods as fresh.

Has anyone found the Mud foods chip shop curry chicken pie? It's from a TV show on C4 called 'Next Big Thing', I haven't seen the show but apparently these pies were on an episode and now they're on sale. £3.99 for a small Pukka sized pie, so they must be a posh food brand

Wife used to work on the Deli counter of Tesco, the Deli staff had quite the cartel going making sure they got choice of the discounted stuff before putting anything up on the shelves. Our freezer was brimming with steaks. Some of the regulars spent their evenings touring the various supermarkets at repricing time to get the best deals.
Fish counter girl put a side of salmon out slightly reduced, posh obnoxious woman hung about for an hour waiting for the next reprice badgering the staff to reprice it early so she could get it.
They refused - company policy blah blah, when the next reprice time came round, they didn't drop the price enough for her, badgering continued.
She hung about for over 2 hours waiting for it, the staff watched until she did a lap of the shop, nipped out, dropped the price when they could see her coming back down the shop and one of the other regulars grabbed it as she came round the corner.
From Aldi, I had their Flamin' Hot Chicken Thigh Burgers for lunch, these - https://groceries.aldi.ie/en-GB/ALDIIE/p-flamin-ho...

Delicious, you may only want one unless you've a strong appetite, they're massive.
