American Made, tonight on our big screen.

Very good, will filmed in the quality and style of the time - amazing biopic story.

Baby Driver tonight, because I'd been told the soundtrack was good. It wasn't, music was mostly st, rest of it was slow.

Music was absolutely superb. I guess it may be because you're too young to appreciate it.

I watched this last night too and thought it was quite fun, although it reminded me of a few other similar stories like Blow (Johnny Depp), Catch Me If You Can (Leonardo), and Breaking Bad where people benefit from crime until it all comes crashing down at the end.

Gone Girl is one to watch without reading up on it first, because spoilers.
Similarly, one of my favourite movies this year was The Handmaiden. A Korean made movie based on a welsh book (yeah, I know).

Struck me as similar to Gone Girl due to the fantastic twist(s) in it. I'd watch it again today to round off 2017 as it's a top 9.5/10 for me, however I'm off to see Mountain later.

Genius fim making.
From the bloke who brought us In Bruge and Seven Pscychopaths...
Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell with a smidge of Abbie Cornish, all give spot on perfromances in this slow thoughtful drama that had me hooked from begining to end.
Basically, the mother of raped woman, takes the local Police and the town to task over their inaction in capturing the bad guy....
Superb film. Very sweary.
Nothing is perfect though.... so 9.9/10
Agree. It’s superb. Great direction and screenplay. Tragic but occasionally laugh out loud funny at the same time. Absolutely brilliant ensemble cast. Think it’s a shoe in for an Oscar or two,

If you are thinking of topping yourself, may I recommend, "The Road".

A perfect film to get you into the mood. Plenty of grey, hopelessness and a good smattering of deepest gloom.

I'm going to bed soon and hope that when I wake up I'm a little more cheerful.
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Watching the struggle to survive is shocking in a post-apocalyptic world and knowing it can happen and what lies after is not pleasant.

I've missed this before. It's pretty good and didn't need a stereotypical plot line.

Criminal, starring Kevin Costner, as well as Ryan Reynolds and Gary Oldman. Ooh and Tommy Lee Jones.
Entertaining and well worth a watch

Amazing film. One of my all time favourites

Memento. 8/10

Very original and enjoyable to watch if a bit strange!

Cliffhanger. 7/10

Enjoyable brain out film. Wouldn't have liked to have done some of those stunts!

I watched it before but lost interest, tried again, same, just so slow and uninteresting, i guess it picks up later but it just didn't work for me 1/10

Watched it at the cinema and really enjoyed it giving it an easy 7.5.

As for The Matrix, I hated it.

Vive la differance, (don’t shoot my spelling).

Man flu so catching up on a few things.

Rogue one

Wasn’t expecting much couldn’t stand the reboot quite a good film. They should have had this team do Star Wars .

7/10

Got distracted by Dirty Harry

9/10 As ever the guy playing Scorpio and the score stole it.

Baby driver. Loved it. In fact I don't think Edgar Wright has ever made a bad film. Or a bad sitcom for that matter.

The Last Jedi (or TLJ)

I enjoyed it, although I wasn’t supposed to based on the dedicated thread smile

But then I hated Gone Girl because of the massive plot holes, and thought Baby Driver was a ste film with nasty, unlikeable characters, including Baby.

So maybe I am wrong about The Last Jedi too.
