Years ago my Dad built Alfie a wooden gate from old fencing so he could see through and watch the world go by. He became kind of infamous in the village and even the school/nursery would walk the kids past to see him.
Unfortunately while my Dad was sick and in his last days Alfie put his head through the gate like the scene from The Shining. I fixed it as best I could under Dad’s instruction.
Today my Mum had a new gate built for Alfie.
And with my Dad a month or so before he passed
