Has anyone had problems with their sidelights ?

I checked out the light bulbs, changed them but still didn't work.

Checked out the fusebox, but they're OK.

I had a look at the wires from where the lights are, haven't pulled out everything but they semm to be ok.
If anyone has a good idea so I don't have to pull everything out xD

I think there is a connector in the lamp pod, could be corroded. If both are out and the fuse is ok it might be the switch/pod.

switch pod ? I checked out the cable, disconnected it, its fine. There are 2 boxes in the 'light' compartment. Is it one of them ?

If both are out then it must be further in the car, the light switch/fuse. The only two boxes in the light pod should be the alarm siren, the carbon cannister. If yours is an S then it might be the balasts for the HID's.

Looking at the spare parts it looks like the sidelight doesn't come with a connector.

Also check the relay shown in the top right.

Humm, how can I know if the relay is OK or not ? Do I change it with a spare. Are all the relays exchangeable ?

Unfortunately it doesn't.

I had one side working intermittently (right side) and other working correctly (left side).

1st-The light bulb:
I got the wrong bulb so I tried it on the left side and it worked.

So I figured it might come from the wire,

2nd-the wire:
I unplugged the 1st part of the wire and exchanged it with the one that was 'working' and it didn't work. So I figured it comes from that wire, but when I put back the one that was supposed to be working, it didn't work anymore.

I have to check out the relay but I don't know how to see if its OK or not.

Problem solved, both ends of the cable were oxidized, I scraped it all using a little knife and there you go smile

Thanks to you, on to the next problem now !!
