help-wiring 4 way switch
Discussion
help- when i pulled lower panel in process of converting chim to lhd, the wires were off the 4 way switch. where do they go???? switch in top half has #1 on right and #3 on left. there is plastic bar then #2 is lower right and #4 lower left. it looks like no 2 wasnt used -no connector marks. there are 3 connectors to go on double green white double brown black an single r ed. test on test light seems to indicate no 1 is switched on, no 3 is internal light and no 4 is in power? thanx from canada

I for one have no idea what switch you are talking about...Ignition / lights / front of dash / under dash....Colour wise it sounds like either the early light switch or dash light (on/off) switch OTOMH.
An easy question to answer if you mention what year car it is and describe the location of the switch
Red inner one is a switch fitted on its own to the side of the stereo, as opposed to the bank of three on the other side, right?
That will be the hazard warning switch:

shows my 93 version, but there have been a plethora of wiring versions TVR implemented to work the hazard warning lights (even down to the flashing button....).
Stick a small fuse & battery to earth and test away is your best bet - the rest of the car needs to be energised to test adequately based on the way 2 relays & flasher all have to work 'in harmomy'.
