I just got my tickets, and decided to go crazy with Woodcote A grandstand seats. Anyone else coming?

Hopefully going but will all be a bit of a last minute ticket job if my contact comes good.Took the precaution of booking high class accomodation Travelodge close-ish with added cancellation insurance just in case.

Doubt it, I did 3 GP's last year - Assen, Mugello and Agaron and already have Misano booked and probably Valencia too.

Not interested in MotoGP at Silverstone too far away and way too expensive let alone the weather

I'm going. First time I've been to watch racing at Silverstone. Any tips of good places to view from round the track?

Have you got a grandstand ticket? if not get there really early or camp, traffic is bad sunday morning.

I enjoyed woodcote corner, maggotts and the village last year, if you can get into the middle of the track theres a good uncovered grandstand opposite maggotts but you can also see village/aintree corners.

I watched from the outside of Luffield last year, and it was a pretty good place to watch. Bonus is that there is a giant TV screen and leaderboard visible from there too.

Not the current map, but I agree that Luffield is one of the best spots to watch from, especially if you get over to the left side of it and can see them all the way down the Wellington straight.

You're quite right. The current map is here: http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/motogp12/ then click "The circuit"

My OH bought us both full weekend tickets as a surprise and chose not to tell me, i then booked us a 3 week holiday which covers that weekend silly We have managed to get them carried over for next year.

I have suggested we try talking to each other, but i don't think she was listening..

Problem I have with Silverstone is it's a very long lap, and you cannot see much because of all of the grandstands covering the views, so you don't get much "viewing" for you money.

Valencia is probably the best to view from as you can see 2/3rds of the track from anywhere thus why I intend going back this year, plus it's Casey's last race not that I am fan.
