As per title what's the best wording? The car I'm selling is a bit of a handful & I just want to cover my back & I have advised the possible new owner to trailer it home even more so because of the rain , it takes a bit of getting use to (zx12r smart with paddle shift)
Any ideas it's sold as a track day toy

That AA receipt is spot on.

I use a template spookily similar to that. In fact the words are exactly the same. I got it out of an old law text book, I wonder if the AA had permission to use it?

I have just sold a car and I am aware of no issues that I didn't tell the purchaser about but I still get worried that something catastrophic will happen to it.

You can word it however you want.

If its a private sale, regardless what the receipt says or even if you don't give a receipt, there is no come back.

This, its a private sale so its buyer beware and the receipt doesn't really do anything.

Include the time in case of a speed-camera mishap. Receipt in duplicate as well. Signed by both parties.

This, if you are giving a receipt, make sure the date and time is signed and also you have the same address as the one of the V5. Just for back up really. Esspecially if the tax is due to expire or for parking/speeding fines. Handy if you have proof of sale and an address to forward them on to.

Very good call.

I sold my last car to a friend and he was driving the car for two months without tax. I had sent the log book to Swansea but it had not been processed (I had proof of postage as I sent it "signed for" through the Royal Mail). Anyway I got a letter from the DVLA (I think) saying that it had been seen on ANPR cameras being driven. I contacted my mate and he got onto the DVLA, also paid the back tax and got it sorted. It though could have been so much worse if he wasn't honest or had been a stranger. So yes good call there.

If you want to be really crude, like some traders are; 'Sold as scrap'.
