This is the Entries thread, no chat just your pictures please.
Monthly Photography Competition Rules:
- The photos taken must be your own work
- The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
- The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
- There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. # Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
- All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
- Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.
Mods - Can you sticky this thread and the discussion thread. Ta

Hi all,
A good showing in terms of entries this month and the quality is, as always, fantastic which unfortunately makes my task so much harder!
So, drum roll please. Here is my top three:
3rd: mojitomax

I liked the thinking behind the image. Out of the box thinking is exactly what I was hoping for with this choice of theme.
2nd: Adz The Rat

It was really hard choosing between the top two. In fact both entries went backwards and forwards in my mind before I finally decided. Adz, I really do think this is a cracking capture. You've done a really good job of making it feel "alive".
1st: ...Mole...

The "Sleeping Giant" as I dubbed it in my head. Just liked everything about this photo. A deserving winner I hope you'll all agree.
So congratulations, Mole and good luck picking a theme for August. Thanks to all of you who entered. There were some truly fantastic images submitted. Special mention should go to viggen114, whos late entry really did make me
