Dare I ask for any reviews?

I somehow think I thought with my wallet before my brain and booked a collection for some Alloy Wheels I won on eBay. Collection is today and delivery tomorrow (hopefully).

In a, somewhat, arse backwards way, I then looked for some reviews on them and... well... oh dear! What have I let myself in for?

someone please have a pleasant tale of happily ever after stories

They seem to be a bit hit or miss. I used them before, and the job was sub-contracted out to City Link. The wheels got from the midlands to Aberdeen next day in perfect condition, so can't really complain

Good news!

A lot of the reviews suggest they outsource to City Link, but the problem lies with Paisley cancelling the jobs with City Link without informing the customer.

Fingers crossed! I have asked the seller to keep me fully informed so hopefully I will be aware of any problems immediatley.

I didn't have a good experience with them. Wheels went missing and it was only months later - after constant hounding - that the insurance money turned up.

Oh dear!

I didn't add on the extra insurance as the wheels were not valuable enough. (less than £100)

Paid £27.99 for express service, booked at 8.47pm last night, supposed to be collected today and delivered to me tomorrow.

Used them last week. They collected the wheels from the seller on the Thursday, and they were at my house, 400+miles away on Friday morning at 10am.

Used them around April time to ship a new hood for my 'Stang, looked too cheap to be reliable but I took a punt (£25 vs £90 for shipping) and it paid off. It arrived when they said it would, and in one piece.

I've used them to get kayaks from Scotland to Southampton.
They were cheap and they got the job done, eventually.
But they were a nightmare to tie down for the collection, I think they promised to collect four times on four different days. They failed to turn up on the first three occasions.

My experience: they're cheap and the stuff will get moved, but it may not be on the schedule they originally promised.

Used them once for some wheels - they were delivered to the wrong address and it took them three weeks to rearrange collection and redelivery.

Recommended to a friend to pick up an outboard motor stand/trolley, arrived next day after a 300 mile trip without a single mark.

So, as usual with couriers, YMMV, just be sure you get onto them if something goes wrong, CS quality is lacking (like every other large company these days I might add!)

I used them last month to deliver an Ebay exhaust. Didn't turn up on the booked day - turned out the TNT driver (they sub all their work) didn't turn in for work according to the driver who delivered it the following day.

I Called to query it & the guy at Paisley went out of his way to be unhelpful and abrupt. Turned out alright, but I was left with the feeling that had it disappeared, I would have been high & dry.

Was it a scottish guy? I had to ring him earlier as the address on the shipping labels were wrong, showing as one door down from me.

He jumped to conclusions pretty sharpish that "We don't have access to amend the address, it must have been your fault". I admitted it was my fault but was ringing to inform them and get it changed. After that he said he amended it and sent new labels via email. I thanksed him for his time and sure enough got new labels too...

It was, but then judging by the name, I think they all are.

Just had a reply from the seller saying TNT turned up but refused to collect as the wheels were not packaged! Grr!!

I checked all the info I had from the courier and nowhere did it state they had to be packaged!

The seller said he will refund my money but what do I do about the £27.99 I've paid for the courier?

Did they have to be packaged?
I think I duct taped them in pairs with the faces together - that's all
Did the delivery driver expect them to be in bubble wrap?
