100A fuse - compatible with 125A fuse?
Discussion
I've just ordered a handful of 100A fuses to keep as spares, and the supplier has sent the wrong fuse.
I ordered this:

But I received this:

According to another supplier's web site, however, the 125A fuse "can be used as an alternative to the 100 amp alternator fuse".
But I'm not even sure if they're the same size, and I haven't got a spare 100A fuse to compare the distance between the terminal holes.
Before I ring them up and make myself look like a fool, can anyone tell me whether the 125A fuse pictured above will fit?
It could be that they were out of stock of the 100A fuses, and sent the (more expensive) 125A one instead.

I have exactly the same 125 amp item as a spare, supplied by Sussex TVR. He reckoned they were better than the original item and he uses these as a replacement all the time. Like you though, I've never seen the orginal to compare. Preventative maintenance to carry a spare... No idea if it will fit though.
The Midi Fuse fits in to the current fuse holder ( well defo in the chim and cerb )
You can get them from e-bay for fo a couple of quid Much better than the strip fuse that is prone to the elements and and vibration.

Some people use 125 amp but i have never had 100 amp pop on me in over 5 years. 25amp is a massive step up and i would be very wary using a heavier amp fuse, End of the day it is rated to protect the components and wiring at 100 amps for a reason.

Thanks for this. I've just ordered one for piece of mind.
