Both brake lights have gone and no reverse light. I've checked the fuse (same fuse for both) as per the bible, replaced as a JIC, but still nothing. I haven't checked the bulbs as yet, as I very much doubt both would have gone suddenly at the same time. Any thing else I should be checking? Thanks guys.

Can you hear a 'click' when you push the brake pedal? the micro-switch could have moved (if the nuts are loose or the arm has come off) or it could just be FUBAR. doodle to replace unless you have hands like coal shovels. As for the reverse light, might just be coincidence, this too has a micro switch that is prone to moving/failure, you need to get under the tunnel to check.

I had this on my Tuscan recently, turned out to be a fault with the reversing light switch. Like you no brake/reversing lights, replaced the fuse, ignition on (reverse slected), still no brake lights. Checked the 'replacement' fuse and it had blown too. Dropped out of reverse replaced the fuse and all good, just ran for a while with the reversing light switch disconnected wink

Sorry this is late, but i had the same on my Tamora, so did the fuse and relay checks, but it turned out all three bulbs had gone, a coincidence i know, but it does happen, assume yours is now fixed, would be interested to know what your problem was though.
Regards Ken.

Embarrassed to say really. After having taken off the pedal cover and the centre transmission tunnel console (which is no mean feat in itself), it turns out that either I can't count backwards from 40, or Graham's Bible is slightly wrong in the fuse schematic (somehow I doubt that). After removing said bits I decided to revisit the fuse panel again and check the fuses both sides of what I thought was number 38 (obviously I should have done this before pulling the car apart). To my chagrin, I found another 10amp fuse that had actually blown! I replaced that and all lights worked again. The only grace to come from this tale is that I managed to polish all the pedals, pedal box whilst they were out and whilst checking the reverse light switch I found that the black wire from the switch had stripped a bit of the insulation (rubbing against the GRP gear selector cover plate) which was probably the reason for the fuse shorting in the first place. I fixed this, put everything back together again and took a minute to slap myself and remind myself why I use the best guys out there for absolutely everything Sag related, even the most trivial issues. Anyway, I know a little more about my car now and the pedal box area is gleaming! Thanks to the folks here, Graham's Bible and Jason for the "confused.com" telephone support thumbup
