Hello everybody,
I've just remembered a topic about different wheels and of different designs to fit to Cerbera.
I was really impressed by the perfect fit of the SP12.
So, my question is :
- are they really better than the spider wheels (that really seem to be fragile...) ?
- are they still available ?
- what is the best place to buy them ?
- is there another option that would be really close to the SP12 ?

By the way, if one of you owns a full set to sell... Why not !

Many thanks

Jay from France

They are brilliant wheels in my opinion.

Much lighter than the spiders, waaaaay more robust and being the correct offset and staggered widths front to rear.

This means that not only is the ride better but you get less tramlining and no need to "stretch" the front tyres over the rim.

Yes, ACT sell them, I've just received a set in anthracite to replace my buckled spyders. Due to a theft and general apparently poor supply chain they are not plentiful so you may have to wait a while to have a set delivered. I think they look great and have the benefits above to boot.

I just added them to mine ( bought them from someone on here) miles better than spiders, but to be honest most wheels are. much lighter and they are round which helps.

I am still surprised at how many people change suspension etc but leave the spiders on when so many peole slate them as such a poor wheel. TopCats, Neil Garners etc all told me that the best initial mod you can make to any TVR is to ditch the spiders. Im surprised so many Sagari (sp) still run them.

They look good much lighter and stronger than spiders, I had OZ super legra's on my Chim Much the same as Sp12 A real pain to clean is the main draw back.

Not a Cerb, but I have recently put these on my Sag and really really impressed. Loads lighter, stronger... and I think they look cool too. Reckon they would great on a Cerbie too smile

Thought I'd post some silver sp12 wheel pics, plus a couple of the same car with other wheels
Edit to add. The pic with the Spiders didn't upload and the second pic was from a previous owner (ratpac).

Hi everybody
The car sounds really nice with SP12.
I've seen also the Team Dynamics Pro Race that looks very nice on the cerbie...
They look very similar.
But, my opinion is still on the SP12 cause i don't like too much the markings on the Team Dynamics.
I will contact ACT to find out what is their best price. Cause i have to pay delivery to France, and, i'm quiet afraid of the cost !
Many many thanks
Jay

The SP12 wheel is the same wheel as the team dynamics one as rim stock made them but they have the correct offsets for a Cerb and none of the horrible writing on the side.

The handling on mine was much better after changing from spiders

Hi Jerome,

If you like the look of the SP12s then the bonus is that they are also a performance upgrade for the car. Some other wheels may look good for show but do nothing for improving driving quality. If you fit the SP12s then I don't think you will say WOW what a difference but it is a piece of a package and each piece of the package contributes to a great car. I'm happy with mine and think it was one of my good choices. It's a wheel which says 'motorsport' and is not just for show.

Do it!

Same here although I went down to RL7's 17" wheels , a major improvement in the handling. I do like the look of them over the Spiders .mainly as I have them in Graphite, I realise I am probably in the minority here.
