Best place to buy tyres online?
Discussion
Afternoon All,
Currently I am trawling the internet trying so buy some new tyres as my current ones have just hit their wear limit.
What websites would you recommend for new tyres?
At the moment the best price I have found is £106 for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres fully fitted.
Regards,
Danny

Don't write off your local tyre depot....
I was after some Uniroyal Rainsport 2's for my Corrado VR6 - standard fitment is 205/50/15's V rated. Black Circles wanted something ridiculous like £75 a tyre and I just checked Camskill and they're £120 for a pair, posted.
My local tyre place is doing them for that price fitted (Britannia Tyres in Coventry). Lesson learned - the internet isn't always cheaper.

http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/ were significantly cheaper than anyone else for the particular tyre/size I was after a few months back.

Try Event Tyres, they were nearly the cheapest I could find and also came to the office so win, win.
+1I've used them numerous times.
You might beat their price very slightly from time to time, but their professionalism and the convenience of them coming to you makes them worth more IMO.
I have not yet bettered them.
I see you are in Yorkshire.
Get some quotes from all of the above.
Then if you have one nearby, call Alba Tyres. Great guys and very reasonable, will get close to the price if not match it. No link to them, just used several of their branches and always been happy. Good for MOT as well...

A different view.
I would always buy tyres and have them fitted at the same place. That way if you have any issues you know for sure who needs to sort them out. I wouldn't buy tyres online and will be surprised if the price is significantly better than shopping around at real-world tyre places.
