Help with oil filter Acdelco pf 46
Discussion
I'm using one of an LDV van or something like that. Same as this one
This is for a 13/16" thread ( ie LS1/6 Camaro etc ), and this one does not have an internal bypass, which is why I chose it.
PF46 is the same dimensions and 13/16" thread.

I had used one off a K-series or something like that before, but it was slightly smaller in size and had an internal bypass.

I bet Monkfish could identify and supply. I'm sure they've previously said that the filter was car specific, rather than engine specific (oddly), which causes a bit of a problem with yours.
I always thought that the PF48 (VXR8) was longer, as it has an integral one-way valve, yet the PF46 (Monaro)used a valve ring on the engine, so was shorter...

Id suggest the change coincided not with the car, but with the engine model.
The LS2 was 24x crank remember. It sounds like the 24x crank stuff uses the older pf46. While newer stuff the pf48.
Old fashioned Monaro LS2 takes one, but the superior VXR8 with the LS2 takes the other. The LS2 was 24x crank remember. It sounds like the 24x crank stuff uses the older pf46. While newer stuff the pf48.
