Hi there.. here are some pictures of my new seats.. MX5 Mk3.. Fitted using the standard Mazda frames.. quite spooky really I removed the TVR seats, dropped the Mazda ones in.. here the locating pins on the Mazda frame drop straight through the old TVR front seat mounts then the bent section of the frame lines up nicely with the hump in the floor and the rear mounts lie nice and flat on the floor. drill drill bolt bolt.. Bingo Jingo.

They sit a little higher then standard but that doesn't bother me at all.. Also I'm tempted to wire in the heating elements.

Now I need black carpets and some other bits in tan..

Cheers

They look great. Out of interest, where did you get the seats and how much did they cost? Wonder i they would fit an M series...

I've tried an S seat in my Taimar and fits ok so logically they should fit.

I've had them a while but thought they would be more of a job to fit.. so didn't get around to it.. just had a few days off so finally got them fitted.

These were sourced off eBay <£200 IIRC.. note these are MK3 so don't fit on the S frame Mk1/2 will fit the S frame I believe.. good job the Mk3 frame fits the S really.

Damian, those look really good.
You've got me thinking now, my seats are the very rare vinyl & sackcloth.
( I believe the first owner was a Trappist monk.)
They are nice & warm in winter & cool in summer.
But a bit awkward to do the Gliptone treatment I feel.

This winter is going to be a busy time for me I think.
smile
By the way, what are your old seats like, & what colour are they?
I could be tempted.

Norman that would be too easy smile I'm feeling the biscuit interior so will likely change the rest of the interior to match the seats lols.. Shame I didn't pick up the dash from eBay a while ago. Got your old centre console to start off with though.

Glen old seats are not that bad really but need dye as faded I will take some pics and post.

Cheers

Well I am now convinced to get some of these, glad I didn't get into bidding on those chimaera seats that went for £313 in the end.. Thanks for putting this on here .

.
Can anyone confirm that Mk1/2 MX5 seats fit the S frame??
BountyHunter, Sir, didn't ask you when I had the chance, or did you you just use the frames with the seats?
Been offered some seats but there are no frames.
Cheers guys.
