In honour of the moneysupermarket TV advert with that US Spec De Tomaso Pantera, post up some photos of any other cars which had those ridiculous-looking US Federal impact-absorbing bumpers.

Here's an infamous one for a kick-off.

Edited to add, that looks to be high at the front, is the story about the US spec MGs getting blocks put into the suspension to raise the front end so the lights are at a US legal height actually true?

FIAT 124 Spider



Many have been re-imported back to Europe and had the blubber bumpers removed completely. I prefer the original early 1970s European chrome bumper versions myself.
