anyone?
I was just wondering if the edelbrock/walkinshaw/caddy LSA blower had a much larger valley intercooler
Does the LSA/GM blower not have the intercooler on top rather than in the valley as on the TVS.I was just wondering if the edelbrock/walkinshaw/caddy LSA blower had a much larger valley intercooler
Not sure on sizes though.

yep hence why i was wondering, if it is much larger then it would explain why you can run alot more boost and still stay cool
It's not, it has 2 small intercooler cores instead of one of the one in the Magnusson 2300. It has been proven that with an endless supply of cool water, the Maggie can keep IATs low as this what happened when mine was on the engine dyno. The problem is heat soak and this is made exponentially worse if you spin them outside their efficient RPM range.
I've been monitoring my own and when cruising I see 85 deg F. If I go WOT for a short to medium blast as you do on the road, that will go up to 100 deg F. Most I have seen is 110 deg F and that was while sitting in traffic. As soon as I get moving it goes back down quickly to 85 - 90. When Roger took it to Brunters for high speed mapping, he didn't see more than 120 deg F.
By comparison, when I was at VMax and the blower was seriously over driven, I saw 220 deg F.
600whp is about as much as the TVS2300 will make as beyond a certain point it flows no more air and just makes heat instead.
the reason i asked the question is because if an LSA engine which has a blower based on a TVS1900 can be over driven and not produce a stupid amount of heat then isnt that an arguably better design.
I just saw a video on edelbrocks website where they had a cutout and it looked like one big intercooler up top
