New guy after some urgent help!

I have an 04 645ci and I'm trying to export it to New Zealand.

I've been told I need to find the "whole type approval plate" or "chassis label" - looks like the pic below.

For all the searching I've done I can't find it.

Anyone know where it might be?

Many thanks for any help.

Have you looked behind the trim in the boot?

I haven't dug any further than looking in the tyre well around the fuses etc.

Haven't started pealing back carpet. Any idea where I might need to look?

The VIN number is stamped onto the top of the suspension housing under the bonet. Some pictures I've seen have the sticker there but I can't see one.

One issue is that there is so much stuff tightly packed in I can't see much of the body work

Can't see anything on any door shut, or on/under the bonnet itself.

(Included here in case anyone stumbles on this thread in the future)

Just spoke to BMW customer support (the 0800 number).

I was told I should e-mail eccoc@bmw.co.uk and they could provide the information I'm looking for.

I was also told if I sent them my name, address, contact details, destination country of export and last 7 digits of the VIN. They can produce a Certificate of Conformity and sort out all the required paperwork.

So it appears my car may not have a sticker, but BMW can sort out the paperwork anyway.
