(On the touring, obviously, couldn't fit it all in the title.)

I think I need to top this up, as the boot seems to have lost it's ooomph. Googling around seems to link to a website that is not dead. Can anyone provide new links that I can't find, or provide a couple of pics to help me find the bit I'm looking for?

I'd be very grateful, and you would be allowed to slag off my "Google-fu" too.

Thanks in advance!

Tailgate issue discussed here.

Sharkfan who successfully fixed this is still on the forum mentioned above. So you might be in luck with getting better answer from them.

Parts list for the vehicle can be see here:

The hydraulic pump lives in the boot, to one side. If you remove all the holding down bolts you should find a plastic reservoir held on by a jubilee clip. Undo the clip and remove, clean out and top up reservoir with transmission fluid. Then reverse procedure. Manually lift tailgate up and down a few times to bleed system and job done.

When I had this problem the forums showed a top up screw on the body of the pump, did not exist on my one, 2003 525 Sport Touring. No photos though, sorry.

Thanks for all the help so far folks. I won't get a chance to have a go until the weekend, but I'll post up some pictures when I work it all out, since this thread comes on Google pretty early on for this problem, I think.
