Hey guys, I bought my first DB9 April 2013, it's a 2007 with only $24k miles and it's a 6 speed Manuel which is really exciting as most of these seem to be automatic.

Anyway I noticed that at highway speeds around 65mph+ there is a considerable amount of wind noise coming from around the area of the side mirror on the driver side. The faster you go the more noise, sometimes it's almost like a whistling sound. Very annoying! I have tried to do many searches and found the window reset procedure which I performed and haven't noticed much difference. Also I noticed that when the door is closed and window fully up I can stick my finger nail in the area where the noise is coming from. To me it seems as if the window closer to the side mirror is not going all the way up into the channel. (The window is however, sealing against the seal as I have never had any issues with water leaking in).

I found a post on here of someone who has fixed this problem, it was posted by SLACKER:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=121...

So my question is I'm not sure exactly where the window bolt is that SLACKER is referring to that he loosened and then re tightened. Can anyone help me with this? A picture would be ideal.

Thanks!
Joe

Thanks for your reply, I understand I have to take the door card off, once I remove the door card where are the screws for the window adjustment? I am going by this post:

There is a good picture of the door with the card off (page 8)

Thanks guys!

Hi

You need to lower the window about half way down and you see the bolts through the inspection holes in the door metal plate. You can unclip the window switch and attach to the wiring which makes it easy to control. You will need a star / torx driver.

You have the same issue as I had and this will sort it. You need to attach some tape on the window and mark it to give you a reference point and raise window at the front then do the reset procedure.
