Seeing as the UK STILL doesn't support Sat Radio like the US does, is DAB the next best thing?

I believe the quality is better, but is there an enhanced station choice? My FM radio probably picks up about 7-8 stations at the moment.

Would a car with DAB get many more stations? I know for example the BBC have dozens of dab radio stations which you can listen to online, and i assume dab. Does a car with dab pick these up easily?

Lastly, assuming a DAB is a decent piece of kit, can you get E90 BMW's with a dab? I believe all the F30's with idrive have it as standard, but I cant afford an F30. Was DAB an option on the LCI e90s?

I haven't got DAB in any of my cars yet, so I can't comment on reception on the move, but all my home radios are DAB as well as FM, and there is a wide selection of stations available - such as Absolute Radio, Abs 80s, Abs 90s etc, Planet Rock and others that are not available on FM.

I've just got an E60 with DAB and I've been pleasantly surprised by the reception. The only places it has cut out are places that also struggle with FM too.

Some people are happy with the way DAB works in their cars especially on the routes that they most frequently travel. Others report difficulties. Traffic announcements may not work with your DAB set-up but that may not be important to you.
