The theme for our second competition of 2014 is Beauty

This could be an object or person, something you desire or someone you love.
I’ve tried to create as broad a theme as possible…how you choose to interpret this is entirely up to you...

Good luck!

Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Thanks,
Scott

The forest is completely saturated after almost 3 months of rain. Like many places in the UK the Queen Elizabeth Forest has had rain in every 24hr period since the start of December. A thick carpet of sphagnum is quietly consuming everything.

Well, craigbunyan, congratulations on winning this month's competition. It is a beautiful shot

Hopefully, you'll pick a topic which is better received than mine.

Well done and over to you

Not me. There were only 3 entries in the comp I won. I tried to think of a very broad topic, to increase entries, but it didn't work. I really appreciate your entry - you've single handedly kept the competition going for another month.

It's a shame - I remember when there were dozens of entries each month. Don't know why it's in such decline.
