They replaced pan gasket last week .. Looked under car today and there is still a leak in the same place .. Looks like gasket

Happened to my 997 turbo tip , it's a common problem on tips. OPC will most likely replace the gearbox. Some specialists offer a repair for around £1500-£2000.

Will take it in to dealer on Monday .. Let's see what happens , have a feeling they will either tighten up the nuts between the gasket or a new gasket ...

Hello,

Tightening of the bolts is pointless as they can not be over tightened due to the aluminium clamps that hold the pan against the gasket.

There is a selector shaft seal that can leak and cause an oil leak and also the rear casings can leak between the Mercedes part of the gearbox and the part Porsche manufactures.

A Porsche centre will be able to sort this out, if leaking from rear casing they will replace the transmission.
