Hi Peeps...Well i went to visit a friend earlier and saw this...

And thought.."Hello...Theres a 200 under there".

Got out to have a look and the owner came out as he heard me pull up..He said he thought it was a motorcycle pulling up...biggrin
Anyway...The car is in a sorry state as the poor fellow can't really afford to fix her up again..Looks like she has been outside for a while and i didn't really have time to inspect the Chassis but the fellow said its in surprisingly good shape..
Wondered if anyone was looking for a project or can shed a little more light on it.

Its got a 400se spoiler on it which obviously wasn't on it originally.

The interior...

The Engine.

The body.

Cheers...Ziga

I was thinking that, the chassis number is 500 odd on from mine and that is an 82. Good find though Zig, I hope someone takes it on.

Peter Wheelers favourite Wedge.. not! Luckily for us, he was a fan of V8 power..and lots of it! I like it though..Ford Pinto engine wasn't it?

Hopefully someone will take it on. There does seem to be a sudden number of old Wedges appearing lately.

Hi Mark

I would be interested as the 200 is the one model Tasmin I don't have and would love to restore it.

If you are happy to pass on my details or let me know the person's contact details etc I would appreciate it!

Hello Andy..Unfortunately i didn't get the guys details as he was rushed for time, Especially as i was just passing when i spotted it..I will ask my friend who lives near him to give him a knock and grab some details.

Another Wedge saved is a good thing.

Cheers

Ziga

PS: If the spoiler is not original to the car then i wouldn't mind it...Maybe as a finders fee... smile

Depends how bad it is, any lacquer peel or paint completely missing. I recon the faded paint could be buffed back to a decent colour thumbup

Dearie me , my 200 must be utterly poverty spec compared to that 200. Electric windows? Glovebox door? I can only dream of such luxuries.

Why settle for 500BHP!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3aKb92UCZo

Probably going to need to sort out the trailing arms...Oh and the brakes and the T5 Gearbox probably isn't going to last too long etc etc..

It would make a good project and the YB will drop straight in.... well almost. There are quite a few things need altering to do with fuel, fuel management, cooling and turbo pipework but it's all achievable and the cost of the parts isn't too bad.

Doesn't sound like a V8 but goes just as well!!

Cheers Steve
