As per title does anybody know what the sting red paint code is for the Monaro ??
I'm at sprayers now to have omega door handles done but forgot to get the code off the plate under the bonnet ...
I think it had an A & U in it ?? But could be totally wrong rolleyes

Ok brilliant ARAF

But under his codes it comes up as:

Opel sting-hot red 585 and 62U

No mention of Holden or vauxhall but under Opel and as for the code you gave me nothing ... Typical
I need sleep zzzz bloody night shift

According to Chipex, Vauxhall - Red Hot is the only colour listed for the VXR8 and the code is 62U ?

Thanks tattoo grandad hehe

Ok we rang another paint shop and he said 62U is blue from North America WTF...not using them that's for sure.
I give up will get codes off my car and go from there ...

I can confirm from the Max Mayer paint system we have at work, that these come up as Sting red & Sting Torrid Red. The Torrid red looks like the Oz name for it.

BTW sorry for the phrase "my" - I don't own a paintshop its just the one I use for all my VXR8 / Monaros

This may not help the op but when i parked my ls2 r8 in sting red next to mel and cols ls3 they were a different shade of red ,ls2 looked lighter and brighter

That's why there is 3 paint codes variants of the same colour frown

Ohhhh Great 3 to choose from just my luck...
Well texted my brother in NZ and he's going to find out what colour codes they have just to add another confusion factor... hehe
Luckily it's just door handles and not full front spray

Sting red 687F according to some of these, looks like it is the same as F143 and 62U !

Found my touch stick out ,its a hsv one sting red for ls2 2008 and very good match,f143,next number on it 158-950301 av also in very small print 198384223386
