I tried a new Schuberth C3 Pro on in the shop and it all seemed fine so I ordered one to come into stock in the colour that I wanted.

I just collected it and rode home 40 miles with it on and its pushing on my forehead a bit like the early Shoei's used to.

Those that have them, do they "wear in" if so is it a long process ?

TIA

+1

Although it does depend on where it sits on your head, i.e. how high or low you have the chin bar set.

You can ease the PU shell a little bit by gently pressing it with a desert spoon in the affected area. The biggest thing to loosen up for me was the padding, although Schberth don't offer a custom fit service a la Arai.... and new pads are fairly expensive. The S2 isn't as quiet as it's puported to be, althogh is quieter than an RX7 and Quantum (but that's not saying much).

When new both my C2 then my C3 were a little tight on the forehead after about 40 mins use. Both "gave" a little (and I mean very little) in the first 2 to 4 weeks of regular use (either that or my head "geve" a little) and both helmets then became very comfortable for long day/big mile use.

My C3 did, after a while (month or two).
