Growing up in the 90's I was exposed to tonnes of them and will forever mourn their loss. What are your favourites?

The rear of the stratos is just so good. Kamm tails I lament ye passing.

Alfa GTA stradale, this ones the GTA Junior which was sooo pretty, with a super sharp chassis and a screaming 1300cc inline 4. And the best arches.

Lancia 037 stradale. Supercharged fun time.

I can't post pics as no 3G signal (rolleyes 2014 eh?)
But my favourites are the 106 rallye S1 (the real one) and the Ford Rs200

I followed a bright yellow rs200 a few weeks back and it sounded awesome biggrin

Is that original - looks a tad too wide?

Actually I think cant be. As soon as I posted it I started googling as it looked too good!

The arches look race spec as well as the larger rear wheels.

This looks a little more stradale-ish.

I have yet to see any car "improved" by a body kit.

Perhaps the Aston Martin Cygnet should be in the list. Only 150 were ever built and it was just a tarted up Toyota IQ which served no purpose other than as an attempt to qualify Aston Martin for a lower overall average fuel consumption.

Do Irmscher still specialise in aftermarket tuning for Vauxhalls? Not seen any branded ones around for a while.

First thing I thought of was the Nova Sport, twin carbs in the boot when bought from new, 100 bhp from the little sohc 1.3 (sadly banned from group N production saloons but used to good effect in Rallying).

Other good ones were Bmw 3.0 csl Batmobile, supplied with the body kit in the boot, Ford did a similar trick with their Capri mk1 2.6 and 3.1 RS models.

P.s. Those E30s are still my favourite BMW shape ever. Fantastic. Always used to lust after the E30 325s when I was younger and knocking about in sheds.
