Hi,

With my first ever pay cheque after leaving school i bought myself a Casio digital watch from Dixons at £40 which was a decent amount in September 1979.

The watch has sat in a drawer for many years now and after putting in a fresh battery it still works perfectly fine however i cannot wear it due to a small clip on the strap that has broken off, the small tension clip holds the clasp shut.

Any suggestion how i can sort this, do i really need to replace the whole strap, photographs attached,

I see lots of retro versions of these types of digital watches being worn so wondered is there any value in a original, not that i would ever sell it ?

Apologies for the upside down photograph, blame it on the ipad....

Although some early Casio digitals a worth reasonable money, that's not one that I recognise as being especially sought after.

Easy enough to replace just the inner clasp on those, keeping the original strap and clasp top. If you're reasonably DIY minded should be able to do it yourself.
