I am looking for pubs or cafes which are petrolhead inspired or themed in the bucks area. Can anyone help with suggestions.

Even a landlord which is a petrolhead will be a bonus.

Thanks guys

Does Mark Webber still own that place out near Leighton Buzzard? Forget the name of it now, a pub with an Italian restaurant (yeah...) attached. Something animal related.

The stag.

As you all know Mark Webber had ownership of a pub and restaurant in my village called The Stag.

Last week, without notice they put it into administration and it closed immediately, staff and creditors not getting paid.

Local gossip is that Mark got fed up with bankrolling it, Ann Neal, his partner, actually ran the pub but has not been seen since. Apparently the pub has never made money and a recent change in chef lost them a lot of business, service and food went downhill. No one was particularly surprised.

It's left a bitter taste as quite a few locals who worked there are out of pocket and paying outstanding wages is not normally the administrators highest priority, even more so knowing Webbers wealth. It's also seen as more than a coincidence that the closure happened at financial year end which I think means the tax man also loses out.

The actual building was leased from a brewery company so they will be left holding an empty lease and this means the business had no assets to pay creditors.

The Morgan in Malvern. Named after the cars made just down the road (although, the name is pretty much the only tenuous link):
