Ebay item not delivered.

How many days after the expected delivery date should i wait or have to wait beforing opening an ebay case?

If i open a case for item not delivered and then it arrives.......if it subsequently is not as described or has a problem, will i still be able to open another case?

Thanks.

Have you emailed the seller to let them know?

I would send a couple of messages to the seller before contacting ebay, that's the first thing they are going to ask when you contact them.

Recent experience of just contacting the seller has resulted in a rapid response and resolution. They dont want you to open a case as it impacts them even if they have done nothing wrong.
Assuming the stuff is reasonably overdue, the If I didn't get any response to contact within a day or two, i would open a case.

Just had this with 100aa batteries- was due last thursday, pinged seller, they said they had checked my feedback and could tell i was honest - so sent out 10 first class post to tie me over, with the replacement 100 following a few days time.

Thanks for tne rep,ies.

I just want to ensure that if i raise a case today, and it arrives in tne post tomorrow, it won't stop me raising another case if i wish to return for some reason?

If you haven't upgraded the postage and it is being sent with an economy service (royal mail 48 or similar) I'd wait 5 working days before complaining.

A lot of sellers would probably prefer to have a message instead of a case, personally I prefer cases as it leaves a paper trail so scammers cannot operate. If someone reports and item not arrived and wants a refund I insist they open a case before I will process the refund. I've been advised that resolved cases do not negatively affect seller performance since February this year.

Do you know where it's coming from? Not where the seller is based!

Even if they say they're a UK seller, it doesn't mean they're supplying from the UK.

I say this as a lot of small items on ebay seem to come from China/Hong Kong and can take weeks to arrive. There's nothing wrong with this, but it will just set your delivery expectations more realistically.

However, if the seller is not responding to emails at this point, you wonder how they'll respond if you have another issue and need to return it.

It's a used mobile from a private uk seller who joined last mnth, with (3)100% feedback.

I'll give it till lunchtime today and then open a case.

Bought last thursday night.
Even if posted 2nd class on monday it should be here today.

Pretty quick to respond to 2 pre bid emails from me, not so quick now.

Need tracked delivery to save all the hassle, you'd think that was standard these days.

After buying a phone on ebay and not hearing from tne seller, i opened a case.

In the meantime i bought another phone off ebay.
Now no word or resoonse from tne seller of this one either.

Am i missing something here?

Am i doomed to forever buy phones off ebay and open non delivery cases?

Is tnere some con whereby tne sellers can profit in some way?

All paid for via ebay/paypal so protected, etc.

Don't quite understand it.

Might be jumping the gun on tne 2nd one, but no response to a simple question after purchase.
Something that takes 30 seconds.

It can take days to be posted, all depends on a seller.

I avoid anyone with a small feedback, that's uncharted territory.

My mistake with rne first....feedback of 3.

The 2nd has a feedback of 300 100%.

What a contrast to other sellers who tnank you for buying and tell you when it will and has been posted.
And even answer questions.

If you're after a secondhand phone just pop into CEX or similar avoids all the hassle I'd have thought.
