Best company to use for PPI claims?
Discussion
Hi folks,
my wife and I are struggling to get the time (we both work away and have young children as well) to do anything about PPI claims which we are fairly sure we have. I have downloaded the forms twice now from money saving expert and got no further.
A relative has just had a fair amount of success with Gladstone Brookes, is there anyone any body would recommend?
I am well aware they are going to take a cut however I'd rather get something back that nothing at this rate!
Any help appreciated.

Honestly its strightforward, the claims companies will charge you an arm and a leg for essentially filling in a form!
Right to whomever you have got the card/loan with, they will then send you a form, fill it in send it back. Job done.
As mentioned I don't have the time and don't care about the fees.....,Right to whomever you have got the card/loan with, they will then send you a form, fill it in send it back. Job done.

You'll still have to fill out a form (or provide the information to the CMC during a call) anyway.
'I don't care about the fees' - I bet you will if it's a significant refund and you lose c.25% of it.
I spend a lot of time driving so its not a problem to have a long conversation and give all the details - I can then handle signing some forms!'I don't care about the fees' - I bet you will if it's a significant refund and you lose c.25% of it.
I don't care about the fees, I'd rather have 75% of something than 100% of nothing, which is what will happen at this rate as time goes on!!!

Don't bother then, the companies have you filling in the paperwork as well they don't do anything themselves in my experience, just put a stamp on an envelope.
that's contrary to what I hear, which company did you use?If you can recommend someone who'll do all the donkey work for a sensible cut that would be good.
I am currently in the process of claiming PPI via a third party company.
All I had to do was answer questions on the phone, then they put my answers on the forms and posted to me. I just check the forms and sign and return.
As with the OP I don't care if I give away 25% as something is better than nothing.

They are all neutral and will in now way try to swindle you out of your claim, I did it with HSBC and whilst it was a HSBC staff I dealt with it couldnt be easier.
2) They send you a document once its established you are due a refund in 1.... Fill it out best you can and people in 1) can often give you info if required.
3) Sit and wait for the payment letter to arrive.
Its not rocket science or difficult, its easy and requires minimal effort, why give someone up to £10k (seen payments as high as £40k) to fill out a form for you?

Print off forms, get a pen and a book and leave all three on the passenger seat. Next time you are stuck in traffic fill out a couple of boxes at a time?
Leave next to the loo for the next time you are spending 15mins sat there staring at your feet?
Fold up & put in your pocket so you can glance through the boxes every time you are waiting for someone/something?
You are literally spending more time looking for a company, speaking to them on the phone and defending yourself on pistonheads then it would have taken to fill out the form.
edit: I am sorry, I couldn't resist...you have posted topics to pistonheads this week requesting info such as:
Disputing a Parking ticket, where you wrote to the council;

and...
Washing your wife's Alloy wheels:

as well as dozens of posts to other peoples threads, yet you are happy to forgo several £100++ because you can't be bothered to spend 30mins on some paperwork!? The mind boggles.

Andehh It may boggle but it's not going to take 30 mins to do this and it's certainly nothing to do with being not bothered, we don't have a lot of the information from many years back and would need to make data requests to the lenders then go back with applications to each lender and there are quite a few. It really doesn't take multiple people to state the obvious if you can't recommend anyone why bother commenting surely that's when the mind truly boggles and who cares about my other posts you clearly have a bit to much time on your hands!
I want company to do this, they are going to take a cut.........

As long as you know the lender ring them on the numbers I provided and they will do the work for you. Then they will send a document out and you sign it... tis no more difficult than that.
However if you are happy to give away 25% of your money for someone else to do this very easy task then go ahead.
