I saw this at Beamish yesterday and the only thing I know about it is that it's an Alfa. Is it rare, is it valuable or is it just an old Alfa?

c.1928 Alfa Romeo 6C1600 by James Young. It was red for a very long time. Looks rather fine in the present livery. No idea of value, although a spyder went for c.£600,000 in recent times.

looks like a 6C 1500 from around 1929/30 to me.

ETA: Value-wise, somewhere around £200-250k.

DVLA data has it as 6C1500 first used 16 January 1929

I've just noticed that I typed 1600 instead of 1500 thus creating an entirely new model.

Both rare and valuable. Despite this, you can see such things thrashing up the side of shake mountain tracks on classic trials, I highly recommend you have a visit!
